Job Title: Distribution and Logistics Manager

Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum dependent on experience         

Team: Volunteer Development and Retail    

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Distribution Centre, GU21 2EP


About the role

Your key purpose will be to oversee the efficient movement, storage and distribution of stock to meet the needs of retail shops and online sales channels, helping to maximise income and profitability. The role ensures the smooth operation of the distribution unit as a donation and logistics hub and donation station, leading volunteers in the sorting and allocation of stock and essential supplies, while maintaining a safe, organised and warehouse environment that supports the wider retail business.


About you

This role requires experience of stock control, warehouse management, delivery scheduling and retail operations, together with proven people management skills.  You will have a strong understanding of health and safety, financial procedures, stock pricing and marketability, supported by good IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office and Excel.

You will also have an ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will be commercially aware, target focused and capable of maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. You will lead and motivate teams, take a proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges, and remain resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the distribution function. You will have a full clean driving licence and have the ability to handle physically demanding tasks
